Alappuzha Coir Cluster Development Society popularly known as ‘ACCDS’ is the single largest consortium of coir manufacturers in the export oriented production sector at Alleppey. ACCDS covers 80% of the installed capacity in the handloom sector of the coir industry at Alleppey cluster. ACCDS will be able to produce and supply large quantities of coir products in the shortest possible period.
ACCDS is the only agency nominated by the Govt. of India to develop, operate, manage and monitor the infrastructure facilities created under the IIUS. So the office of the ACCDS should be strengthened so as to carry out the monitoring, supervision and manage the functions of the Sub-SPVs and verify the assets.
